HR ADMIN AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER
Pay: £28,000-£32,000 per year
Job Description:
We are a forward-thinking group of companies based in Hampton, London, with thriving investments in Real Estate and Healthcare. Venus Healthcare is a leading provider of high-quality supported living and residential care services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. We are also a strategic partner to the NHS North-West London, Integrated Care Board.
Our close-knit, dynamic team is driven by problem-solving, innovation, and a shared commitment to achieving outstanding results while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
At the heart of our success is our belief in technology-driven operations and a culture that celebrates initiative, attention to detail, and taking pride in your work. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves making things happen – this is the opportunity for you.
About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR, Admin and Compliance Officer to join our growing organisation. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, driving HR compliance and communications, and ensuring we meet our legal and regulatory responsibilities, including Home Office sponsorship duties.
You will work closely with senior managers and staff across the business to embed high standards, develop robust processes, and support a positive and compliant working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- In this role, you will lead safe recruitment practices by advertising vacancies, shortlisting candidates, organising interviews, and ensuring all necessary documentation – including references and DBS checks – is properly processed and stored.
- You will manage the onboarding and offboarding process from end to end, ensuring new starters are added to the onboarding workflow and all induction actions are followed through, while leavers are properly recorded in payroll systems and exit interviews are conducted professionally.
- You will oversee core HR compliance by maintaining accurate and up-to-date staff files, monitoring document expiries (such as right-to-work checks, DBS certificates, and driving licences), and ensuring all actions align with GDPR, health & safety regulations, and employment law.
- You will also take the lead in managing payroll-related HR tasks such as updating records for starters, deductions, statutory payments, and leavers.
- As the HR, Admin and Compliance Officer, you will support employee relations by coordinating the disciplinary process, attending investigation meetings, issuing formal notices, and managing individual cases including grievances, performance concerns, and workplace issues. You will also ensure probation reviews are scheduled and outcomes recorded in a timely manner.
- You will champion training and development by managing staff training plans, supporting leadership development, monitoring KPIs, and helping to foster a high-performance culture aligned with our organisational values.
- Your role will also involve active participation in our engagement, welfare, and retention programmes, ensuring consistent delivery of our HR strategy.
- A key part of your remit will involve ensuring full compliance with Home Office sponsorship duties. You will maintain oversight of the Sponsor Management System (SMS), monitor visa compliance, record and report relevant employee changes, and liaise with immigration advisors as needed for new applications or updates to existing ones.
What You’ll Bring:

- A solutions-focused, can-do attitude
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Impeccable organisation, time management, and attention to detail
- A natural ability to communicate clearly and build trust at all levels
- Adaptability to shifting priorities and a passion for continuous improvement
- Strong ethical values and the drive to uphold a compliance-first approach
- Experience working with metrics and KPIs to drive results
- A flair for presentation and a professional, positive presence
