At Venus Healthcare, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care by ensuring our properties are not just safe but designed to cater to the unique needs of our Service Users. We understand that a secure and comfortable living space is fundamental to fostering well-being and independence.

Our Properties

We work in close partnership with our landlords to ensure all the properties are safe and suitable for our Service Users. All landlords are vetted to ensure Building Safety and Fire Risk Assessments are carried out before occupation. At adaptation stage, the floors and walls are reinforced according to the build specifications designed to meet the care needs.

Furniture and Fittings

All properties come furnished with strong sturdy furniture from carefully selected approved suppliers who are specialist in making contract furniture for our type of client group.

All furniture is made of high quality materials with robust design and are built to last. As standard, the furniture is all weighted, has secure fittings and anti-ligature functions where possible. All windows are fitted with magnetic curtain rails as standard for safety and we ensure that all materials used are compliant with fire regulations. The furniture and fittings are carefully chosen so that they have a homely, normal feel while having safety built in.

Creating the Right Environment

Once the Service User moves in, our staff assist them with turning their house into a home with personalised items of their choice as part of their life skills development. This is a very important factor in a successful placement as the pleasant homely environment allows people to be themselves and thrive.

Where necessary, internal adaptations can be carried out before a move in date to suit a person’s care needs, for example Prader-Willi syndrome. We believe that the right environment can play a role in improving a person’s quality of life.
