At Venus Healthcare, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care by ensuring our properties are not just safe but designed to cater to the unique needs of our Service Users. We understand that a secure and comfortable living space is fundamental to fostering well-being and independence.
Our Properties
We work in close partnership with our landlords to ensure all the properties are safe and suitable for our Service Users. All landlords are vetted to ensure Building Safety and Fire Risk Assessments are carried out before occupation. At adaptation stage, the floors and walls are reinforced according to the build specifications designed to meet the care needs.
Furniture and Fittings
All of our properties are furnished with strong, durable furniture sourced from carefully selected and approved suppliers who specialise in contract furniture for our client group.
The furniture is made from high-quality materials, designed to be robust and long-lasting. As standard, items are weighted, securely fitted, and incorporate anti-ligature features wherever appropriate. All windows are fitted with magnetic curtain rails for added safety, and we ensure that all materials meet relevant fire safety regulations.
Our furnishings and fittings are chosen to create a warm, homely, and familiar environment, while discreetly incorporating the safety features necessary to support individuals with complex needs.
Creating the Right Environment
Once the Service User moves in, our staff assist them with turning their house into a home with personalised items of their choice as part of their life skills development. This is a very important factor in a successful placement as the pleasant homely environment allows people to be themselves and thrive.
Where necessary, internal adaptations can be carried out before a move in date to suit a person’s care needs, for example, Prader-Willi syndrome. We believe that the right environment can play a role in improving a person’s quality of life.
